Late August Lake Vermilion fishing produced good results for many of our guests this past week. Lake Vermilion fishing mid August found most of last week's guests doing well. August fishing on Lake Vermilion has found smallmouth and largemouth bass action staying strong. A good number of decent bass have been caught and released, along with a couple outings of over 30 northern caught, several in the 30 - 36" range. Lake Vermilion July fishing ended better than it started, with the last few days of the month finding the walleyes ready to eat.
